Multiple layers of color add richness and depth to the subject matter. Smooth, acid free 100 lb Bristol Board drawing paper is used to depict very detailed, realistic drawings.

Original Acrylic Paintings
Surprisingly close up details of plants, flowers, Southwestern landscapes, ancient Indian pueblos, and beautiful landscapes along with centuries old rustic adobe dwellings are favorite subjects for my acrylic paintings on canvas. Using multiple layers of acrylic paint in a representational but slightly surrealistic style, I work on stretched canvas creating whimsical colors with stylized shapes. Look for touches of collage or photographs on some of the paintings.
